Running The Race

I'm a die-hard fan of Manchester United...well, at times. =) Quite some time ago, it seems that MU are in the course of getting a treble. Now, they are out of the Champions League and FA Cup. They are not even certain of winning the Premier League. They can only hope that Chelsea slip up and they win their remaining matches. They may end up trophy-less!!!

The moral of the story is: Manchester United has a lot of work to do. And they should higher me as a consultant. =P

Ok. Jokes aside. It shows that even one of the best football club in the world is not assured of being a champion again. No one is perfect and no one can succeed on their own no matter how great the plan is.

All you can do is to rely on God. If it is God's will for you to take up something, no matter how you may hate it one way or another, just do it. God has a bigger plan for you than you can ever imagine. If only you will take up the challenge and go through the Jesus-led storm, He will see to it that He gives you the grace to conquer the storm. You will come out to be a giant. A warrior.

It doesn't matter whether you start the race. Most people do. It is how you finish the race that really matters. Many people give up along the way. When an athlete competes in a race, and he is at the starting line, he looks at no one, not even his opponents. He doesn't look at the crowd. He doesn't look at the linesman. He only fixes his gaze at the finishing line. His goal is to finish the race. And he can only achieve this goal by finishing the race. When he does, it is a sweet victory. A great success. All his hard work and training finally pays off. He never regret of having to go through the rigorous and hard core training.

When you do something that is of God's will, you will never regret doing it. It may not be easy though during the process. But it is only a matter of time that you finish the race and taste the sweet victory. In fact, you will thank those who encourage you to pursue it. Besides, God never promise you a perfect day. He promises you a perfect peace. With that perfect peace, you will be able to complete His will for you.
