Man United Beats Porstmouth

Manchester United played against Porstmouth yesterday. And the result was (drum rolls) MU won 4-1. It certainly made my day. The 1st piece of good news for the day. That's what I call a good head start. =)

Anyway, Rooney scored a hat-trick with a huge thanks to 2 of his successful penalty taken. Giggs had his name on the scoresheet too. With the win, MU are now 2nd in the standings, 2 points behind Chelsea who has 33 points.

Nevertheless, in the 1st half, Porstmouth were the better team. The 1st goal, however, was scored by Rooney. MU was awarded a penalty when Michael Brown brought down Wayne Rooney. And Rooney nicely netted it into the goal. Porstmouth then pulled 1 back when they were awarded a penalty. This time, it was a debatable penalty. Apparently, Frederic Piquionne had had his shirt pulled. Thus, Kevin Prince Boateng had his name on the scoresheet.
* Rooney being congratulated after scoring the 1st goal

* Rooney scores the 2nd goal
The 2nd half was much more livelier. There was a nice play by Giggs and he eventally set up Rooney. And Rooney fired it into the net to score his 2nd goal. Rooney scored a hat-trick as MU was awarded another penalty after Giggs was brought down in the 54th minute. It was the third penalty for the night and Rooney's third goal. Giggs then rounded it off with a late free kick to have the score finalised 4-1 in favour of MU. To top it all, it was Giggs' 100th Premier League goal.
Hopefully, MU will continue to ride in this momentum of winning.

Footprints In The Sand

Footprints In The Sand
Leona Lewis

You walked with me
Footprints in the sand
And helped me understand
Where I’m going
You walked with me
When I was all alone
With so much I know along the way
Then I heard you say

I promise you
I’m always there
When your heart is filled with sorrow and despair
I’ll carry you
When you need a friend
You’ll find my footprints in the sand

I see my life
Flash across the sky
So many times have I
Been so afraid ooh
And just when I
Have thought I’ve lost my way

You give me strength to carry on
That’s when I heard you say

I promise you
I’m always there
When your heart is filled with sorrow and despair
I’ll carry you
When you need a friend
You’ll find my footprints in the sand

When I’m weary
Well I know you’ll be there
And I can feel you
When you say

I promise you
I’m always there
When your heart is full of sadness and despair
I’ll carry you
When you need a friend
You’ll find my footprints in the sand x 2
oooooo mmmmmmmm

2012 Rocks!!!

* 2012

2012 - a must watch movie. It's about the end of the world. The solar flare causes the earth's core to heat at an alarming rate. Because of that, disasters upon disasters starts to occur. It also focuses on how people try to save their lives with John Cusack leading the cast. The catastrophes in this movie will blow your mind away. It is so real and awesome that will cause suspense throughout the movie. Definitely 1 of the best movies ever produced.

Triple Treat...And Counting...

* mum and i

* mum, dad & sis

* mum, me & sis

* sis, mum & dad

My parents and I went to KL on the 16th of November. My dad had a 3 days seminar in KL. To be exact, it was at Istana Hotel. So, the 1st treat was we got to stay at Istana Hotel for 3 nights. We left Penang around 12.30pm.

So by 4.30pm, we reached the hotel. Next treat was as follow. Initially, we were supposed to stay in a deluxe room. But it was full. So, we were upgraded to a club room. The club room was confirmed even before we arrived. But when we checked in, the receptionist told us we were upgraded to a club suite. Meaning we were entitled to the club lounge. Here, we had the choice to have breakfast either at the club lounge or the common breakfast area, which was called Taming Sari. Besides that, we could have high tea and cocktail there. Plus, we could hang out at the club lounge til as late as 11pm.

The following treat was my sister could join us on the wednesday and thursday. So, basically, everyday, we had like 3 meals at the club lounge. Though it was high tea and cocktail, the food served were more than enough to make you full. The food were great. Since Pavillion was opposite, we went there everyday. =) The Xmas decorations were spectacular especially at night when they were lighted up. We took lots and lots of pictures. Plus, we had 2 rooms actually. 1 was the bedroom and the other was the study room. But it was my TV room and floorball room. Hehe. Thanx to the 2 rooms, there were 2 TV and also free internet.

My dad, sister and I watched 2012. The movie was at 12.30am. Simply because the tickets were selling terribly fast. 13 slots in 1 day. When my sister and I lined up, all those slots before 6.30pm were already sold off. Cum our turn, those slots before 11pm were also gone!!! It was a 2 and a 1/2 hour movie. The movie was awesome!!! With the CGI, suspense and great story line, everyone enjoyed it. Even my dad!!! =) This is one of the best movies ever.

2012...Doesn't Matter

2012 seems pretty interesting. In fact, it looks down right interesting with its CGI in it. Even my friends are telling me that I should watch it. Well, I guess I'll be watching it soon, with my sister. As a matter of fact, I wanted to inform my sister about 2012. But she told me first. Talking about "Great minds think alike". Totally agree. =P

Anyway, my sister and I watched Michael Jackson's This Is It. It was a blast. Awesome!!! I mean, you can see how Michael put in his all right up to his supposed comeback concert. From the CGI to the stage setup to his dance and voice. It's down right amazing. No words to describe it. Well, He is the King of Pop. Notice that I used the word "is" though he is no longer here.

So, as my sister and I walked to GSC at Mid Valley, there was like a commotion. But in a good way. As usual, the line to the ticket booth was super long. Thank God we bought earlier. Or else, we would have to wait. That was not the point either. As we approached, there were camera flashes going out. There was a stretch of tables specially set up too. We then realised it was all about 2012. It was the premier of 2012. Those watching 2012 had to line up on either of the 4 lines right up to the stretch of tables. They had to surrender their phones, camera etc. As long as there were electronic gadgets, they had to surrender them. Next up, the GSC staff used a metal detector to ensure there were no electronic gadgets on them. As my sister and I walked pass to enter the cinema, (only 2012 viewers had to go through all the hassle...=) ), there was aguy who was caught red-handed. The alarm on the metal detector went off when the metal detector was used on him. Pretty interesting scene.

Anyway, we entered the cinema. And we had a blast watching This Is It. So for those who has not watched it, do watch This Is It. You'll remember it as 1 of the best movies ever. As for my sister and I, it's our turn to watch 2012.

Carbon Allowance, Anyone?

I read an interesting article. It says that everyone in Britain could be given a personal 'carbon allowance'. This is part of the effort to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions.

The system goes like this. Anything and everything that contributes to the emission of these gases (and I mean the purchases that take place), and the person who buys them will be issued a unique number. This unique number will be returned by the person who buys those things. Among the examples of a contribution to the carbon footprints are fuel, airline tickets and electricity.

It is similar to a bank account as the people will be given a statement every month. This will help them keep track of the amount of contribution to the addition of the greenhouse gases. To set things straight, this is how it is similar to a bank account. When your bank account is zero, it means you are broke. Likewise, when your carbon account is zero, you are 'broke'. You have to pay to get more credits. However, if you are a die-hard fan of Mother Earth and you have a very good record of your carbon account, you can even sell your unused credits. Thus, you make profits.

Nevertheless, it will only be introduced within 20 years which will be part of the "Green New Deal". As usual, some agree while the others do not. Those who agree claims that it will only affect those who live lavishly. Those opposing, however, claims that the impact on businesses will be pathetic. Plus, everyone will be living a lifestyle which has no freedom.

Floorball With YWAM

Today floorball was held at Rifle Range aka Padang Tembak. Not at RC as the hall was not available. Plus, today was slightly different. It was not so much of training as we had guests...=P The YWAM aka Youth With A Mission was with us today.

We started slightly after 7pm as the guy who was supposed to open the hall arrived late. Met 2 CGLians there. Anyway, we introduced floorball to them. First, we did 2 drills. They were "Snake" and "2 on 1" play. Next, it was game time. Since there were quite a number of us, we were divided into 5 groups. 3 guys team and 2 girls team. The guys played among themselves. So did the girls.

Around 8.30pm, the game ended. This time, it was the YWAM's turn. The team leader introduced the members and explained briefly about YWAM. Then, they did a drama with Switchfoot's song as the background music. Pretty interesting. Next, 3 of them shared about their lives. Finally, it was 9pm. Since there was still time, the girls continued to play as the guys played more earlier.

So, all's well ends well...

Rubbish Bin Or Chair?

* Rubbish bin?

* No...they are chairs actually...

There is a cafe in Penang which has rather amusing chairs. At first glance, they do not look like chairs. But rather rubbish bins.

In fact, I overheard a conversation between a dad and his young kid. Well, the dad did the talking. The kid just listened.

Dad : Hey, look at those. (pointing to the chairs)
Kid : ... (He said nothing but just looked at the chairs)
Dad : The chairs look like a rubbish bin

I almost burst into laughter. Coz the dad said it right in front of the cafe. Thank God the owner did not hear it. Haha...
