Brothers And Sisters Day 2010

Brothers and Sisters Day 2010 was awesome. A blast. Splendid. For those who don't know what I mean, it's where we commemorate the bros and the sis. Like Fathers Day or Mothers Day. Except this time, it's about us...brothers & sisters =)

Anyway, it was a fun filled event with alternating performances from the guys and the girls. The girls did a dance, impersonation, games & speech. Oh, what talent are there here...Shall I compare thy performances to a summer's day? =P Haha...

Anyway, the guys did a song, impersonation & poem. Of course, their best was yet to come. The remake version of Westlife's Flying Without Wings music video. The only difference was the 5 guys replaced the Westlife members. All actions...and I mean all...including those emo actions that Westlife did were in it.. And no, we, the girls, were not touched. I repeat...we were not touched. We laughed our heads off. I mean, it was, so awesome and funny. We really enjoyed it til we requested them to replay the video. 1 of the best part was they video-ed the guy who used a fan to blow their hair so that it blew when they sang. Super funny...

All in all, it was down right terribly awesome & fun. Can't wait for the DVD to be out =P

Plans & Goals

The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps...Proverbs 16 : 9

When Sir Walter Scott was young, his goal was to become a soldier. An accident, however, left him slightly lame; so he had to abandon his plan. He turned his energies to reading old Scottish histories and romances and became a master novelist himself. His works included classics such as Ivanhoe and The Talisman. He developed his characters in such a way that the reader becomes caught up in the violent, dramatic changes in history. His death in 1832 marked the end of the romantic age in English literature. In Scott's case, circumstance forced a would-be soldier into the life of a novelist.

Perhaps at some point in your life, your own plans and goals were changed. Disappointments may be understandable, but when we invite God into the situation, we can trust that He will guide our steps and bring us into his ultimate plan He has for our lives. And His plan will happen - no matter what!

God is bigger than our circumstances, and the plans that He has for us are far greater than any setbacks we may suffer. His plans are far bigger than our own plans.

All For Love

All For Love
Hillsong

All for love a Father gave
For only love could make a way
All for love heavens cried
For love was crucfied

Oh how many times have I broken Your heart
But still You forgive
If only I ask
And how many times have You heard me pray
Draw near to me

Everything I need is You
My beginning, my forever
Everything I need is You

Let me sing all for love
I will join the angel song
Ever holy is the Lord
King of Glory
King of all

All for a love a Saviour prayed
Abba Father have Your way
Though they know not what they do
Let the Cross draw man to You

A Father's Love

"...All for love a Father gave
Only love can make a way..."

A Father provides the best for us because he loves us. At times, we may think that we are right, he doesn't get it etc. But the truth is he does it all because of his love as a father to his children. Like it or not, he is right. In fact, he is hardly wrong. One day, we will look back and thank him for advising and encouraging to take up his challenge. Because of him, we will be an overcomer. We will bounce back to be stronger and more successful in life.

Drum Rocks!!!

Last Saturday was my 1st drum practise. I jammed with the worship band to get the hang of it...again. It's been almost 3 years since I touched the drum set. So, I was quite happy with how I played. They said I played well for a person who hasn't played in 3 years. Still, I have to work on my transition and as the bandmates say,

"Dont worry. Just wag the drum as hard as possible. We will get a new one if you break it."

Haha...So, got to practise. Anyway, tomorrow will be my jamming session. And I'm excited. =P

P/S: Imagine me behind the drum set =)
