Relaxing After A Hectic Week

Yesterday, I handed 2 assignments and sat for a test. In short, the past few weeks have been really hectic. So, to de-stress, after the 10-1pm class ended today, I went to Chilis of KLCC for lunch. There was a pretty long waiting list at Chilis. Anyway, when it was my turn, I was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar section. Coz I dont have to wait if I choose to sit at the bar.

So, I say "Yes!!!". I think this is the 1st time I'm sitting at the bar section at Chilis. I ordered Cajun Club Sandwich. While waiting for my food to arrive, I read papers. =) Thank God my meal arrived in less than 20min. I was starving anyway. In conclusion, it was so awesome possum to unwind and relax a lil' bit after being stressed, compressed, suppressed and....well, u get the idea =P

Week 10 Busy As Ever

It is the middle of week 10 of my current semester. Basically, I have 4 more weeks before Finals. And it is as crazy as ever. I have 2 assignments due tomorrow and a test also tomorrow. In the span of 2 weeks, I will be having 4 tests and 7 assignments due. But thankfully, I'm surviving. 

Trying to divide my time as efficient as possible. Of course, all work and no play makes Simin a dull girl. So, I did finish watching Avatar: The Last Airbender, go online, read a novel etc. Back to the movie "The Last Airbender", I prefer the cartoon series. The movie incorporated a few episodes of the 1st season of the cartoon series. Thus, it was more of bits and pieces. Nevertheless, the CGI and the effects were pretty good though.

Anyway, I'm waiting for week 12 to pass so I can relax a lil' bit before I'm back to 5th gear of studying as Finals are looming ahead.

Meeting My Family

My parents came to KL since last Tuesday. They went back this morning, after dropping me at campus. They reached KL pretty late on Tuesday. By the time they picked me up from campus, it was 7.30pm. It was just nice as my test ended approximately 7.15pm. We had Papa John for dinner at JUSCO. It was actually our first time dining at Papa John. Quite nice but I still prefer Pizza Hut.

Anyway, they dropped me back to my room since I had 12-1pm class the next day. So, on Wednesday, after class, I headed straight to the Gardens Hotel. And yet again, the timing was perfect. When the LRT that I was in arrived at Bangsar, they too arrived at Bangsar to fetch me to Gardens. My dad had meeting that morning. They stayed at my aunt's place on Tuesday.

We had lunch at Garden (It is different from Gardens Hotel. Note the difference in spelling as the shop drop the letter 's' from its name, Garden). It is a new shop that sells both Malaysian and Western food. And yes, it was our first time there. The food was nice and the price was reasonable. After which, we checked in to the hotel. Dinner was at Chilis. An enjoyable stay we had for a night there.

Thursday, I had class from 9am to 3pm. My parents picked me up from campus and we headed to my aunt's place. We stayed there till Saturday. We went to OldTown for supper on Thursday and Friday. Had a great fellowship with my parents and my relatives. My sister had dinner with us on Thursday.

Time flies. So, come Saturday, which is today, we had roti canai with my aunt and grandmother before we left for Setapk. After dropping me at campus for my 10-1pm class (yes, I have class EVERY Saturday), my parents headed straight to Penang. Indeed, I had a great time meeting my family =)

One of my favourite genres is comedy. As a matter of fact, i have a few favourite tv series from this genre. They are:-

1. How I Met Your Mother

My favourite character is Barney with his awesome catch phrase "Waddup" 

2. The Big Bang Theory

Sheldon, the smartest yet weirdest character is my favourite in this show

3. 3rd Rock From The Sun

Joseph Gordon-Levitt who plays Tommy is my favourite actor here. He was so cute back then. Unfortunately, not anymore...hehe...

After getting so caught up in a day's work load, watching one of these comedies really helps me to unwind. And yes, laughter is the best medicine. 

Gardens - King Of The Room

Yesterday, I stayed at Gardens by myself. So, I was King Of The Room. AWESOME POSSUM!!! I did not have any class yesterday. By 11.15am, I left for Gardens Hotel. When I arrived, i headed straight for lunch at The Warung. Then, I checked in.

Basically, I did my assignment and studied. I had dinner at Chilis. It's been a while since i ate there. After that, I left for prayer meeting. Played drums yesterday =) When prayer meeting ended, I had a ride back to the hotel. Praise God!!! 

When I reached my hotel room, I went online, watched TV and ate my favourite curry puff. By the way, the curry puff that i bought from Mid Valley is the best in Malaysia. Haha. Finally, I went to sleep. The next day, I had an awesome breakfast at The Spread, Gardens before checking out. All in all, it was awesome =)

Sanctum Outing

Yesterday, my sister, her CG and I went for a dinner-cum-movie outing at Summit. We had dinner at The Black Canyon at 8pm. Then, we watched Sanctum. The movie was awesome!!! One of the best movie I've ever watched. And yes, the disgusting scene where the lady's scalp pilled off from her head is still in my mind =)

Overnight At Gardens

Yesterday, after class ended at 1pm, I headed straight to the Gardens Hotel. My dad had meeting today. So, my parents and I put up at the Gardens. I checked in first since they left Penang at lunch time. After checking in, I went to The Warung at Mid Valley to have my favourite roti tampal and milo ice 'kau'. It was a set lunch. So, all for RM6. Considered cheap since it's in Mid Valley =)

Anyway, I went to back the room and did my assignment. The temptation to not do anything that is related to studies arises when you are in the hotel room. Just wanting to relax. But i did my assignment. Of course, at a leisure pace. Hehe. By 5.30pm, my parents have arrived.

We went for a drink at our favourite nyonya shop before having our dinner. We went window shopping before returning to the room. I then continued with my assignment before our 'minum teh' session. Basically, that was it.

This morning, my dad and I left the room at 7.40pm. My father attended his meeting while I went straight to campus. Since I still had time, I dropped by my room before heading to uni. And now, I'm in the computer lab blogging. After which I'll attend my last class  for today which is from 2-3pm. So, it was awesome being able to meet my parents and telling them stories like I always did ever since I was a kid =)
